Please scroll lanugo to find out more. If there is any way you’d like to get involved that is not listed, please do get in touch – we’re unchangingly unshut to new ideas and opportunities. Volunteering   Evening Box Office Volunteers On performance nights in the theatre, we need a volunteer to help on the box office. The shifts usually start at 7pm, ready for the show starting at 8pm. Tasks involve greeting customers and answering their questions, checking their tickets, selling tickets on the door, and ushering. It’s a unconfined way to wits the whoosh of our performance nights, modernize consumer service skills and conviction – plus you get to see the show for free! Day Time Volunteers During the day we need volunteers to help staff our box office and take phone calls. People visit the OSO throughout the day, and it’s important that we have a friendly squatter there to greet them. Full training is provided, and we usually ask that you do a three-hour shift either in the morning or afternoon during our opening times (10am-6pm). Other Volunteering Opportunities If you have a specific skill or interest please do get in touch! We are unchangingly delighted to hear from volunteers wanting to help out in a wide range of ways, from administration, social media, gardening, tech support, flyer and brochure distribution, or anything else you can think of! We can tell you a little increasingly well-nigh the venue and volunteering here, and then can unify a time for you to come in to meet us in person. Putting on a show at the OSO   Bring a Play We are unchangingly looking to programme entertaining and inventive theatre. If you are from, or know of, a production visitor looking for somewhere to perform please do get in touch. We aim to programme a mixture of local theatre groups, emerging companies, and increasingly established touring groups, in order to support companies at all stages of minutiae whilst providing our audiences with top quality and innovative theatre. The OSO has a woebegone box stage and raked seating. Capacity for the theatre is 56 on the raked seating, but uneaten rows can be widow to make 74. For some music and spectacle events we unshut the space out to 130. Please read the Production Handbook for information on technical specifications, marketing, financial deals and the process of producing a show at OSO. If you would like to bring a show to the OSO, please fill out our Application Form, or email jamie@osoarts.org.uk with any questions. If you are an aspiring playwright not yet ready to mount a full production yourself, please throne to the Dispatches page on our website for information well-nigh our new writing scratch night.   The OSO Arts Centre, Barnes returns with our third Dispatches scratch night!   Following two sellout successes, fantastic reviews from audiences, critics and industry figures, and with multiple pieces going on to be presented at other venues, we’re excited to once then put out the undeniability for new, untested or developing pieces of theatre – whether self-contained or extracts from longer work.   A small, black-box venue in the heart of Barnes, we received over two hundred submissions for our first night vacated – working with some of the weightier new faces in writing, vicarial and directing.   Submissions unshut on the 21st of August, and we welcome work from both pre-existing creative teams (with directors and/or actors attached) and lone writers (we’ll help you find the right people to bring your piece to life!) We present virtually seven short pieces, and ask the regulars to fill in a form with any feedback they might have – making this the perfect opportunity to test your next piece in front of a crowd.   To submit your piece, please fill in the submissions form (download here) and send it (along with your piece) to submissions@justintreadwell.co.uk. There are a couple of guidelines: • Minimal technical/set requirements, please – anything special, let us know in the form. • Pieces should be titled and between 10-15 minutes long. • As we’d like to make the night as useful for minutiae as possible, we ask that you’re misogynist to shepherd on the 6th December The deadline for scripts is September 21st at midnight. Art Exhibitions We regularly have art from professional artists up in the cafe, ranging from photography and sketches to watercolours and sculpture.
